 | Bring the seesaw into balance A seesaw only works well if the persons on both sides weigh the same. Or do you know another solution?
Find another visitor (preferably of a different weight) and go and sit on the seesaw, one at each end. Sit so that the seesaw remains in balance.
Even if your partner weighs more than you do, you can still bring the seesaw back into balance. It’s just a question of each of you sitting at a different distance from the tilting-block.
The seesaw is actually a sort of lever with which you can increase your force. Thanks to the seesaw you can, for example, lift someone who’s twice as heavy as you are without too much difficulty. How do you do that? Quite simple: you just have to go and sit twice as far from the tilting-block as your partner.
