Technopolis...where experimenting is FUN!

Have you always wanted to put an airplane on the ground, sleep on a bed of nails, stand in the middle of a soap bubble or ride a bike 5 meters above the ground?  

In Technopolis, the Flemish science centre in Mechelen, all of this is possible! Here you can experiment with more than 280 interactive exhibits.  Fun, exciting and instructive!

Technopolis is expanding!

Construction works have begun... follow the expansion on our webcameras.

The self-service restaurant is also being transformed into an entirely new restaurant.

Due to this, from 7 January 2013 to 8 February 2013 the offer will be limited to the following:

  • Sandwiches
  • Cold dishes
  • Soup
  • Desserts
  • Hot and cold drinks

We apologize for the inconvenience and sincerely hope this will not spoil your experimental pleasure!

Technopolis thinks it is important to offer his visitors suprising new experiments or to renew the existing areas on a regular basis.
Also the shows, demos and workshops during holidays are regularly being renewed.

The Children's Science Centre

In the Children's Science Centre, 4 to 8 year olds get down to work!

They dicover the world around them in a new way thanks to the lifelike setting full of interactive exhibits.

Visit

Open: Technopolis is open every day from 9.30 am to 5 pm. 

Closed: January 1, December 25 and the first full workweek in September.
