Planckendael, Muizen, a 12-minute drive from Technopolis

De Nekker, Mechelen, an 11-minute drive from Technopolis
At the De Nekker Provincial Sports and Recreation Centre you can let off some steam after all that experimenting. You can go swimming or cycling, check out the sports hall, or go skating: De Nekker is the ideal place for sports. The combination ticket only gives access to the outdoor section of the recreation centre. Access to the Nekki indoor playground is not included in the combination ticket.

De Maan puppet theatre, Mechelen, an 8-minute drive from Technopolis
Stories that will stay with you, move you and whisk you away into a world of pure fiction: at the De Maan puppet theatre discover the language of imagination.

MIRA observatory, Grimbergen, a 17-minute drive from Technopolis

The Sint-Rombouts Cathedral Tower , Mechelen, an 8-minute drive from Technopolis
As you climb the tower, you will discover all sorts or secrets about towers and their various 'chambers'. On the skywalk, the new panoramic platform will reward your exertions with a breathtaking view of the city, and you might even catch a glimpse of the Atomium in Brussels or the port of Antwerp.

Planetarium, Brussels, a 20-minute drive from Technopolis

The Planetarium unveils before your eyes the secrets of astronomy. You will learn all about the most well-known constellations. You will embark on a voyage of discovery past mysterious heavenly objects, go in search of the North Star and follow the orbit of the planets around the sun.

't Grom, Sint-Katelijne-Waver, an 11-minute drive from Technopolis
The 't Grom vegetable museum informs a wide audience about sustainable market gardening and gardening heritage in a playful, interactive manner. 't Grom also informs and mobilises visitors on the subject of healthy food and vegetables. 't Grom provides tours for children starting from the age of 6. Their is no offer for children between 3 and 6 years old. 

Kazerne Dossin, Mechelen, a 10-minute drive from Technopolis
A visit to the Kazerne Dossin, the new Holocaust and Human Rights Museum, is a must-see for everyone interested in World War II. The brand new museum tells the story of the more than 25,000 Jews and Roma who were taken to Auschwitz-Birkenau from the barracks in Mechelen. From stories, photos and multimedia presentations, young visitors get an impression of the human rights violations that took place there. Visitors also get an insight into the situation surrounding human rights today. The Technopolis - Kazerne Dossin combination is only available to secondary schools.

Please note:

  • Combination tickets are to be paid for at the ticket office of the first destination you visit, with the exception of the combination ticket with the Sint-Rombouts Cathedral Tower and the Observatory at Grimbergen, for which the payment is always made at the ticket office of Technopolis.
    Example:
    Technopolis and then Planckendael = combination ticket -> payment made at the Technopolis ticket office
    Planckendael and then Technopolis = combination ticket -> payment made at the Planckendael ticket office (in that case 0 EUR appears on the confirmation letter from Technopolis)
    Please indicate if there are any season ticket holders in your group when making your reservation. Season tickets must always be shown on admission.
  • (*) Starting from 1/01/2016 the price with the combination with De Nekker will be for children under 6 years € 7,45, € 8,95 for children primary school and € 9,95 for students secondary school. This ticket gives admission to the site only.
  • (**) Includes: visit to the permanent exhibitions, sports field with the services of a coach for 1 hour.
  • (***) With a combination ticket with Breendonk Fort, please keep in mind that a guide must also be paid for on site. The cost of the guide is € 40. One guide will lead a maximum of 30 people.
  • To reserve the picnic room and/or a guide at one of the combination ticket partners, please contact the relevant organisation directly. Payment for these extras is also to be made at the relevant organisation.

  • (****) If you wish to visit the Sint-Rombouts Cathedral Tower on a Wednesday or in the morning on the other weekdays, a guide must be paid for each group of 20 persons, at a cost of € 60 (as from 01/01/2015: € 75.00).
  • To reserve the picnic room and/or a guide at one of the combination ticket partners, please contact the relevant organisation directly. Payment for these extras is also to be made at the relevant organisation.
