Do you find science and technology exciting and interesting? Are you thinking about becoming a scientist yourself later on? In that case, the STEM academy is for you!
STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. In other words, the exact sciences, technology, engineering and maths. The STEM academies are extracurricular activities on these themes held in Flanders for children and young people up to the age of 18.
These activities include:
- Technology club: Make creative objects with a hammer, jigsaw and drill, or take apart your old toys and turn them into something completely different!
- Coder dojo: Learn how do program and develop computer games.
- FabLab: In this creative space you can work with 3D printers, electronics, laser cutting, programming, etc.
- Children's labs: Conduct tests and experiments in a real lab!
