Did you know that Earth Day is coming up again? Our planet is symbolically put in the spotlight on this day every year.

At Technopolis, we do this by paying extra attention to nature, the environment and sustainability for three whole days. And the programme’s simply out of this world!

Half uur natuur show (NL)

During this show, you’ll meet a very special forest ranger. He’s just got back from a fun day at work and is full of questions. So what should we do? Some experiments, of course!

Workshop Cast it!

There’s no better source of inspiration than Mother Earth! Roll up your sleeves and awaken the artist within by creating some brilliant objects with a casting resin called Zellaan.

Try some duckweed

Duckweed isn’t yet available in supermarkets, but we’ve managed to order a nice big helping from a researcher. Whether it’s a treat for your taste buds or not, it’s certainly healthy: it’s packed with protein.

Snack on insects

How about a handful of crispy cricket crisps? Or perhaps you’d prefer a cricket tapenade dip? Belgian company Nimavert will be dropping by at Technopolis on Earth Days and has some snacks for you to try.

Wednesday 23 April (12.00 noon to 5.00 p.m.), Saturday 26 April (9.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.) and Sunday 27 April (9.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.).
If you prefer to come at a quiet time, choose Wednesday afternoon.
