Free annual pass competition rules during Chemistry and Life Sciences Discovery Weekend

General

These competition rules apply to the competition ​“Free annual pass Chemistry and Life Sciences Discovery Weekend” organised by F.T.I., Technologielaan, 2800 Mechelen, enterprise number 0434.183.579 on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Participation

  1. All participants must be resident in Belgium and aged 14 years or over.
  2. All participants may only take part in the competition once.
  3. Technopolis staff and their family members may not take part in this competition.
  4. Participation in the competition runs from 13/5/2023 — 9.30 am until 14/5/202311.59 pm.
  5. Visitors can take part in the competition by coming to Technopolis on 13 or 14 May 2023, playing the Mendeleev game, taking a photo of their score and posting it on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. They should also tag Technopolis in their message and add #DiscoveryWeekend. Those with the top three scores will receive one free personal annual pass.

Prize and winners

  1. The winner will receive a free personal Technopolis annual pass. The specific information will be passed on to the winner.
  2. Three winners will be selected.
  3. Each participant can only win one prize.
  4. The winners will be informed via Facebook, Instagram or Twitter on 16 May 2023.
  5. In order to receive the prize, the winners must respond to the message from the organiser by 19 May 2023. Otherwise, the organisers will select another winner.
  6. The prize cannot be altered or exchanged.

Privacy

  1. The personal data of the participants shall be processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation.
  2. All personal data processed in the context of this competition shall be used strictly to contact the competition winners and shall not be kept for longer than is necessary.
  3. The personal data that are processed in the context of this competition shall not be shared and shall only be used in the context of the competition.

Other provisions

  1. The organiser reserves the right to terminate your participation in the competition at any time if you act in any way that is contrary to the above terms and conditions or any applicable legal provision, without informing you of this beforehand, without giving a reason, at its own discretion and without the possibility of F.T.I. being held liable for this.
  2. The organiser reserves the right to adapt, cancel or prolong the competition in the event of force majeure.
  3. The organiser reserves the right to suspend or withdraw the competition in any individual jurisdiction at any time if it is compelled to do so for legal reasons or for imperative self-regulating reasons, without any right to compensation or reimbursement in respect of the participants.
  4. This competition was not in any way sponsored, approved, managed by or associated with Facebook, Instagram or TikTok.
