How to reach us

You can find Technopolis (very fittingly) on Technologielaan in Mechelen. It’s right near the Mechelen-South exit of the E19 and just over 2 km from Mechelen station. Whether by car, public transport, bike, or on foot, we’re very easy to reach. 

Also good to know: our parking is completely FREE and equipped with 4 charging stations (8 plugs).

By train

Take the train to Mechelen Central Station. From there, it’s just over 2 km to Technopolis.

  • Visiting with your family?
    You can get a discounted train fare. Each ticket purchased through our website includes a code that allows you to buy round-trip tickets to Mechelen with 40% off on the day of your visit.
  • Visiting with your class?
    For children under 12, the fare is only €1 per journey.

Buses 5, 82, and 822 stop at the entrance of Technopolis. They also serve Mechelen Central Station.

By bike

There are several bike routes from Mechelen Station. You can take the Postzegellaan or the brand-new bike highway running parallel to the Tangent.

If you are coming from Zemst, follow the Brusselsesteenweg towards Mechelen. At the end of Abeelstraat, turn left onto Zemstbaan. Shortly after, turn right into the Technopolis parking lot.

Bikes can be easily rented at Mechelen Station. You can park your bike at our free covered bike racks. Please note that the racks are not supervised.

On foot from the station

From Mechelen Central Station to Technopolis, it’s about 2.5 km on foot. You will arrive via the Zemstbaan. We have mapped out a route that avoids the cycle highway behind the station and a section of the busy Brusselsesteenweg.

Via the highway: Technopolis is located along the E19 (Brussels – Antwerp). Take exit 10 Mechelen-South and you will drive straight into our parking lot.

If you are coming from Mechelen, it’s best to take the brand-new Tangent. Just before the E19 on-ramp, you will see Technopolis.

Free parking with charging stations

Technopolis has a large parking lot that is completely free. No space at the front? There are additional free parking spaces at the back of the building.


In addition, 4 charging stations (8 plugs) are available in the parking lot.
