Experimental fun for all
Listen like good boys and girls and then have a look around? Not at Technopolis, the Flemish Science Centre! You have to discover everything for yourself here. That means no guides and definitely no precious objects that you’re not allowed to touch. Through lots and lots of original interactive exhibits, demos, shows, workshops and treasure hunts, find out how WOW science and technology are. And the best thing of all is that you don’t have to be a science nerd to have a great time here.
This makes Technopolis the ideal day trip for families with children, groups, schools and so on. Technopolis is also the place for all kinds of events and meetings for businesses.

Our origins: F.T.I vzw
In the 1980s and 1990s, when there was no such thing as a Flemish Science Centre we aroused Flemish people’s enthusiasm for science and technology as Flanders Technology International (F.T.I vzw). This non-profit organisation is still the driving force behind Technopolis today.
Our mission
We believe that everything starts with WOW. In everything we do, we aim to make as many children and young people as possible fascinated by science and technology – because we’re firmly convinced that they offer the solution to many of the challenges the world faces.
We are a very diverse team!
We are creative minds who develop all kinds of things, from interactive exhibits to workshops, shows and demos. We are pure-bred nerds: we’re caught in the thrall of science and technology, both day and night.
We are engaged in what happens around us: we strive for a better future where science and technology play an important role.
Stephane Berghmans
The driving force behind our team is Stephane Berghmans, our General Manager.
“Together we face some big challenges: on the one hand present future technologies and, on the other hand build an online community of passionate people who help to shape our offer.”

Governance
With the Boards of Directors of resp. F.T.I and Technopolis, the General Assembly of F.T.I and the Scientific Committee that advises F.T.I and Technopolis, we’re all building the future of Technopolis.
