From end of March 2027, you can find out for yourself at Into Space, our new temporary space exhibition. Step inside a futuristic space station and discover how space travel helps us to protect the earth.

Come aboard

Into Space takes you into a space station of the future, high above the earth. There’s a buzz of activity all around you. Around every corner, new technologies are being tested and missions carried out that could change the future. What about you? You’re joining the crew!

Take up your position

Not everyone on a space station does the same thing. Perhaps there’s a pioneer inside you, keen to explore new worlds. Or are you more the sort of person who comes up with clever technological solutions? Perhaps you’d prefer to go and have a look for yourself. Into Space gives you the chance to find out where your talents lie.

Set off on a mission

Along the way, you’ll face quite a few challenges. Can you knock an asteroid off course? Remove space debris from an orbit around the earth? Or drive a moon rover? And just when you think you’ve seen it all, there’s still a journey to Mars ahead.

Protect our planet

Space travel isn’t just about distant stars and planets. Thanks to satellites, we track weather systems, monitor climate change and gain a better understanding of our planet.

Into Space will show you why space research is essential for protecting life on earth. Because the earth may well be the most important spaceship we will ever have.

More relevant than ever

Did you know that in 2027, the Belgian-Luxembourgish ESA astronaut Raphaël Liégeois will be heading to the International Space Station (ISS) for his first spaceflight?

The knowledge gathered there helps us to better protect the earth and brings future missions to the moon and Mars a step closer.

Into Space is set to open end of March 2027.
Entry to this exhibition (and all our other exhibitions and areas) is included in your day ticket.
Recommended for ages 8 and over (or from the second year of primary school), but younger space enthusiasts are also welcome!
